Rick Gingras is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and Chartered Financial Consultant® with offices in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Rick provides financial planning and investment advice to individuals, families, and businesses. He maintains his longtime affiliation as a registered representative and investment adviser representative with Commonwealth Financial Network®, a highly respected, independent broker/dealer based in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Rick began his financial services career in 1995, after two tours of active duty military service and 15 years of hands-on business management. He was the president and founder of Berkshire Financial Planning, Ltd. In 2004, his firm was purchased by Berkshire Bank. Rick served as vice president and senior investment advisor for BerkshireBanc Investment Services for six years, overseeing operations in western Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont. He returned to private practice in 2010 and continues to serve the community with expert financial planning and investment services. He is a member in good standing of the Financial Planning Association.
Rick is a 1977 graduate of St. Michael's College and a former U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue helicopter pilot. With more than 30 years of experience in business and financial management, Rick is well equipped to tackle the issues facing a broad range of clients with diverse financial needs. Because he works independently, he can provide recommendations tailored to the needs and specific situations of each client.
Rick and his wife, Bonnie, reside in the Berkshires and have three grown sons.
